How safe do you guys feel driving these trucks?

I took my truck on a 4hr drive to my sisters over the weekend. Looking back I am thinking I am a little nuts, the highway I took had nice long stretches of three lanes to cruise down. I found myself most of the trip with my right foot tight to the floor, I couldn't go any faster if I had tried. Well, with the exception a few downhill areas.

Anyways, before I never felt comfortable past 130km/hr in this truck. On that last trip I found myself looking down at the speedometer to see maximum speeds of 175km/hr! That's 105mph for you Americans. Personally, I think that is just crazy in these trucks as it spells instant death if anything happens.

So, anyways I came 5-10km/hr from burying the needle! lol, it just seems funny to think of burying a needle in a B2200. I wish I still had my '03 Silverado, I'd love to have opened that up to see what it would do.

P.S. I found myself craving for a lower center of gravity. These stock trucks do NOT corner at all at higher speeds, it was almost annoying to slow down to negotiate even the larger curves.

fastest ive had my b2200 at was 92mph. and they might not corner the best, but theyre a heck of alot better then others. only thing im afraid of sometimes is bein ranover by a semi.

i dont think i have ever been past 75 in my mazda... cause there really isnt a need too

^^^^^ agreed with him.. i have made it up to 80mph but it was in dire fear of being run over by a semi on the interstate. And i feel quite safe.

I usually run 90-100 all the way from tampa to ocala( 2 hour drive takes me about 1 hour from one hosue tot he other). I love the handling on my ranger and its stock suspension, I do have 20s with alot of rubber to plant though..but ne ways i love speed and outhanlding those damn hondas!

the fastest I've gone was just over 100mph, a trooper spotted me so I had to exit and hide for a while. So far I have no speeding tickets!!! just a Noise violation.

103-105 not going downhill is my top speed. Probably just cause the big wheels let me go a lil faster in the end. but i still cant use 5th...not enough torque....lol.

i havent actually driven either of my mazdas....my b2200 hasnt run since i got it, and the b2600i is still in the operating room (351w swap) so i cant really relate....but in my daily driver i have been up to 135mph

damn really? lol

i thought all rangers had their governors set b/t 90-95mph
