to answer all your welding question go to homedepot and buy the book.. its really good and shows all perspective's of welding all the charts, terms, metals, welders etc..

after ur done readin it like 2-3 times, then ur ready to practice.. and if you run into any problems you will know the cause and the solution!

6010 rods are one of the worst to use on sheet metal. They are made to penetrate, which you dont want on your body. I wouldnt use anything but mig....if you dont have, borrow beg or save for one.

Definately a good investment.

dont use STICK WELDING ON SHEETMETAL...like someone said above ...1/8 and up is the what you use stick welding on ...also 6010 can stick really quick when getting use to it ....mig welding for sheetmetal and if you prefer ...stick welding for thicker metals say even for your frame ....

you may want to go to your local welding shop and see if your stick welder could acept a tig rig if so that would be the way to go that and a little practice and you can drag it off at night and weld it back on the next day
