Top Speed

okay i know this truck isn't a speed demon but i have to ask. See i live in alberta which there are hills that i climb to work like everyday. now i have to have the truck pinned to keep up to traffic and thats 100kms an hour 60miles an hour) this is 1987 mazda b2600 4x4 i also have b2200 110kms an hour is the fastest inless im going down hill...but man going up hills at 50kms an hour is too slow on a highway

i got mine up to 175km/h, took a little while to get there but i did it, but didnt like it

i had my old b2000 up to 85 MPH once.....lol......

maybe need to advance my timing?

I did 175km/hr in my 1992 B2200 freshly rebuilt, but I wouldn't do it again, taht's just stupid.

You know what the funniest thing was? When I pulled into Merit (spelling?) I had to slow down to a crawl because of hiway construction. Anyways, I decided to pull into town, grab a coffee and strecth my legs. I had NO power steering! lol

I guess the vibrations from going so fast loosened off the power steering pump belt tensioner. It was an easy fix but still... you don't want unforseen problems like that at high speed, especially in a vehicle that cannot handle it.

i've tipped 100mph on my speedo before on my 2200, trying to catch up to someone....but here i drive freeway speeds about 80mph on my speedo, equals 75mph because of my smaller tires

my 2.2 motor has been up to 127mph on the freeway racing someone. I know this because he had a digital gauge.

when i get my new engine i'll push her to 200km maybe more

With the old 2.2 i would top off at like 85 down a hill..lol...with the 5.8 I'm half afraid to top it out i had it to 120mph tryin to ctach the locals but thats it....

over 200 a couple of times. lol ya ya it's kms so about 120 mph. back in the day whenit was new and all spiffy (1990-91) ... lmao
