Temp agencies suck .

well i basically quit my job this morning . I called out yesterday cause i had no gas in my truck to get to work . I told them i was sick . today i called and told em im not going in cause i have no gas in the truck . and was basically caught in my lie anyways . Blah. I don't care . I didn't want to get stuck out in the middle of no where with no money and no gas .I was NOT trying to walk all the way from where ever to home again ! So i said to them that i just can't survive on 282 a week . I had to pay my share of rent last week and that basically blew out my check . I been putting 30-60 in gas (well now that the price has come down ) BEFORE gas prices went down it was more like 70-80 a week . And me driving 2 hrs a day ( meaning im out of the house for 10 hrs a day .. 2 hrs unpaid! ) then they said well if you don't finish the week out well have to pay you 5.15 an hr for last week . i AM like wtf i earned that fair and square worked my 40 hrs . Fuck that shit . I Knew temp agencies are fishy i was desperate for work and took a job with them even tho i had a feeling about them .


Tommorrow is pay day for me . I 'll go get gas in the truck and get a hair cut and go on a search! . shit walmart pays more then 282 a week .! I 'LL Go work there .. any thing other then grocery retail ew !

by law they can't change your hourly wage for the previous week they can only change it for future work

i need a job that will bring home more then 300 a week for 40hrs . I was making 9 a hr at iron mountain . I need something that will make my trip worth while . and it has to be easy for a mindless fart like me . i Was spending 10 hrs a day out of the house . 2 hrs of it total driving time . if i get another job in delaware it has to be worth my while money wise . i was puttin 1/3 of my check in the tank . ( filling the tank 2 times a week ) i don't know how its gona act now as i 've done a partial tune up on the truck saturday . Hopefully the gas mileage changes with the new plugs ,rotor , cap . I'm gona pickup a set of wires tommorrow sense i have nothing else to do Now . and probably stop at wally -world and apply there . I think wally world pays better then the temp agency does .

in the contract i signed with the temp agency it states if i choose to quit / walk off the job they have the right to pay me 5.15 an hr for work done . (WHICH is previous week) I Signed the paper . but still that is below minum wage i think around here . i think min wage is 6,25 or something . Always knew temp agencies are a bunch of crap .... always some kinda gimmick . They have that in thier contract as a way to almost prevent you from wanting to walk off the job with no notice . as the feel it will take time to find someone to fill the position . Its not that hard maybe an hours work if that to find someone to fill it . geez we're in the computer age for cryin out loud. Couple key strokes and they'd find someone . i called them last week to see what options i had if there was someonthing else i could do ( place to work at ) they said well how bout near the air port .. i said west chester? they said no philly . Thats even further away . They don't understand the concept of needing work near or work that will pay MORE .. the main thing is gas factor even with gas going down up here ( lancaster area 2.16 a gallon ,,,, near me its 230 or so) When gas was up near 3,15-3.30 i was droppin 20 in the tank and it didn't even fill the tank. 20 at a time was all i could afford i was nickel and diming just to get gas money . with a notch b4 empty on my truck i filled the tank with 31.00 at 2.16 a gallon 2 saturdays ago . iF i were to fill the tank when it was high i think i'd spend probably 50 a tank . And i averaged putting gas in the tank 2 times a week. I'd fILL THE tank on wednesday (payday) and by saturday i'd be at or abouts a 1/2 tank. Granted i don't go out anywhere anymore really . i Figure that sense i did this tuneup that my gas mileage should fix it self a little better with new plugs , wires, cap ,rotor . .. Don't say to get rid of the truck as no one would give me what i paid for it . and i wouldn't find another daily driver for less then a grand any ways .



Today sense everyone is keeping older cars longer and giving them a beating more a good used car for cheap is going for 1,000 and up - no MORE are there decent no real problem cars for 500 - 6oo . I' ve been lookin . Anything below a grand is throw away material any more (rust /rot / motor /tranny problems )



be nice if i were able to come into to some money right about now . I'd jump at a chance to get a newer truck .

thats a shame there are lots of decent cars around here for 100-800 bucks

not trying to be rude.. but that might be your problem. Your not going to find a job where you get to sit on a couch and watch tv. Pick up a skill or a trade and go from there. There are jobs out there to be had.. and education and experience is what lands those jobs. If however you choose not too.. then you will be looking for a job forever that isn't hard and you get paid a lot of money.

Education = money . money i don't have . my credit is so f*U$#U$ that i can't get a loan . that option is out . I wasn't askin for a job that i can sit on the couch and watch tv . i am willing to work . problem is finding the work around here that pays well . grocery stores don't pay well .. heck i think i am on the boarder line of being able to collect public assisantance . not that i want it . if the jobs don't pay well hense the job i was working at warehouse for 9 an hr .. = 282 a week .. how can any one live off that . 9 dollars an hour that should be good money . after all the bull (s*** ) is taken out thanks to govt ,and local taxes i come home with that .

Ever think of trying to get your inspection license? Im 18 and in highschool and got mine this year, my shop teacher tought the class, and it was free. I dont think it's to much for someone to take the class..There's always gonna be cars to work on man!
