Fookin Bull!

I got pulled over today. No biggie Im used to it. The cop comes up & says he pulled me over because I have no rear bumper & no front plate.

I can see the no front plate, but no rear bumper. LOL What a jackass. He checks my stuff & tells me to put my bumper back on. He didnt even say anything about my tailights being tinted. WTF is he going to do when I chop the top off next spring. LOL Tard. I just thought Id share my stupid cop story for the day.

If I were you, I would fight it in court. I dont know what the laws are there, but in canada, trucks with a GVRW under 4500kgs (i am not 100% sure of that number) dont require a rear bumper.

that.. and some s10's come factory w/ a roll pan. But the reason he cited you is out of protection for you. because if your rear ended and the insurance company finds out you ditched the rear bumper.. your screwed.

Yeah, and as we all know many base model minis were sold new without rear bumpers, anyway he's a cop and you/I are not so the jokes on him. Bastards.

do you have a roll pan on? or just the bumper off?

my truck came factory with no bumper just the roll pan and the black rubber pieces to cover where the bumper brackets go. cops aren't picky about that kinda stuff here though.

wow, I didn't know they can pull you over for no r bumper, that sucks! I was curious though that I wouldn't pass inspection without one - we have di*khead cops around here too so i'm not suprised- good luck when you chop your top... lol

Here in TN you need ehter the rear bumper or a peice of steal behind the rollpan to be legal that way your frame does not go into the person that rearends you friend of mine got pulled over for it in is yota welded a peice of steal up there and got it thrown out

the way i see it, if someone is stupid enought to rearend you then they deserve to have your frame punch a big gaping hole into their car. If someone rearends me once i get my 4x4 bed on my truck, the last thing they are going to have to worry about is the front of their car. yes i understand accidents happen, but most of the time around here in florida its cause some ignorant asshole is on the phone and not paying attention to the road.

I thought about welding some spikes to my bumper while i still have it on so that way if someone hit me, it would go right through their radiatior and they would be stuck on the side of the road for awhile.

I don't have a rear bumper or front plate either. I have never really gotton in trouble for it yet. Come to think about it, I think the first gen B-series had the option from the dealership to not have a rear bumper. A cop did tell me that my headlights were too bright though.
