So who knows anything about the Mazda Sundowner?

FORD GRILL FORD TAILGATE FORD EVERYTHING ONLY NAME ON THE TRUCK WAS SUNDOWNER AND FORD

and since a old guy owned it he did not mod it or take off tags

o ok, oh well, i could have sworn sundowner was a mazda

the mazda's and couriers were brother trucks as we all know. Ford and Mazda have had a relationship for a long time. I've seen a couple of the topic model, but few. I would GUESS that it's similar to SE-5 In a respect, Back then some stickers and a sliding glass and that was sport stock. I'm really not sure but i'd think it is a semi-rare MAZDA. Just something Diff. to help sales.???

Mazda Sundowners were made from 1979 0r 80 up until 1984. Mazda didn't produce a truck in 1985 because Mazda and Ford broke their little relationship off with pickups until 94 when the came out with the B2500's...(Ford Ranger). Anyways, the Sundowner is just a Ford Courier with Mazda lettering all over it . (Kinda like the S10/S15 thing with GM). Pretty rare truck..old boxy look and that look neat layed out. i thought you had one, wasnt sure. have you had a hard time finding parts for it?

yes and no, to my amazement auto zone has had alot of the things i need. such as radiator hose's thermostat housing, head gasket set and if they didnt have they would order it from somewere.

my truck is 23 years old and it runs very strong thats why i like mazdas so much not only by there looks but because they were engineered well and run strong.

oh and not to mention as everyone debates on the sundowner thing, tornado if u ever do find a courrier damn near any part on the courrier will go on the mazda so that als helps in the parts, the doors on my truck are from a courrier and so are the fenders.

thats sweet man. i will probably def be letting you know when i get it, probably ownt be til spring or summer. but the frame is pretty much gone. you think the courier frame and the sundowner frame are the same?

my trucks gonna be an 89 ford courier when it's finished

there is a old mazda like that sitting in some peeps backyard been there for years but its on blocks might stop by one day
