cheap ass century flux core welder, got it for $100 it's probably 15+ years old

people hate flux core, but if you have skills and a grinder, it's turns out just as nice as mig and arc

it's the size of a big shoe box , and welds up to 3/16 with .035 wire

I have a fluxcore I use at the house. You are right, if you learn how to use it, the chipping hammer and the wire brush, you cant tell the difference. Plus it burns hotter so you get better penetration. I actually shaved my emblems, antenna, gas door, and welded in my rollpan with the flux core back in the day although it was a pain in the ass.

yep, better to use flux core wire with smaller welders

but yea, pain in the ass welding thin metal with it
