So whats the most you had to repair to pass inspection?

This year I had:
1. two spots on the frame to patch - bout 4 hours total
2. replace passenger tie rod end - bout a half hour and $24.95 for part

all done in a days work, not too bad.....this year

so has anyone run into huge problems or a great story to share?

Mines so illigal its not funny v8 with no emissions at all, Backhalfed, motor cycle mirrors, Shaved, But i have my inspection license so i just get a buddy to Stick it...

lol here in Rowan County, NC I don't have much to worry about. Just make sure the tires are good, windshield is ok, lights all work, horn, and have a muffler Inspection only cost me $9.60 + $10 for the window tint fee. W/o tint it's only $9.60 for pre 96 vehicles.

dang man, mine was around $60 for inspection and emissions test.
and why in the world is there a window tint fee? haha

Its only $21.95 here we only have a visual emissions check till 2010. Looks like im moving to nc in 2010=)

here in kentucky we don't have yearly inspections or emissions. only inspection we have is when you buy an out of state car/truck they check to make sure all the lights work and the horn.

Yeah the window tint fee is crap. It's supposedly because they, the inspection shop, have to test the percentage fo light going through to make sure it meets regs. I haven't actually seen anyone put a tester on mine yet

inspections or emissions test whats that My part of TN we dont have that heck there probly as many S-10s running around with V8s as full size

Ks they have no law against driving without doors, windshields, or hood/fenders, as long as you have seatbelts, goggles, and mudflaps!
