Considered a diesel?

there is a deisel b2200 near me, i want to go and look and see if its a stock b2200 or if the guy converted it, i might look into it....

I remember seeing a 87 with a diesel transplanted in it on ebay a few months ago - I tried to bring it up BUT the pics were all taken down. It reads as follows tho:

1987 Mazda Turbo Diesel 4x4!

I bought this truck a few years ago with a bad gas engine (had been run out of oil). Had an 83 Mitsubishi 2.3 liter Turbo Diesel that had a rough body. Rebuilt the engine [diesel] and installed into Mazda. Rebuilt about 26,000 miles ago. The 87-88 4x4 Mazda used Mitsubishi 2.6 liter engines, so my diesel bolted to the transmission without the need for bellhousing or driveline modifications. Motor mounts also fit like a glove.

I used to have a 1981 VW rabbit! Man I loved that car I moved to colorado from VA that thing had a 10 gallon tank and I used to get like 60 miles a gallon it was sweet! I went like 1700 miles and only spent 30 bucks on gas. OF course this was back in 97 when diesel was like 1.20 a gallon! I think it might have actually been cheaper can fully remember
