That's cool man. I work 40-60 hours a week, make $420 to over 600 a week (take note, that's Canadian dollars,so I may as well be unemployed,I'd probably make more money on unemployment, lol) and I either spend all my money on my vehicles and have nothing left for myself,or spend all my money on owing bills and crap and having nothing left for the rides. It took me 4 weeks to pay off $960 that I owed on my engine rebuild.
I'm in a dilemma with my truck at this point; I have the skills to do all the work I want to do,but time isn't on my side due to my job. I could buy a welder and the necessary tools to do the work myself, and at my pace,or I can drop the truck off at a shop and have someone else build my truck (that's not the minitrucker way now is it?) and basically,I'd be spending the same amount of money on labour,as I would on tools to do the job. However, the tools always come in handy later on...
I am currently in the process of doing bodywork on my truck,I have aleady sprayed the entire thing in primer, but I lack a welder,so I can't weld in tail light fillers or a roll pan,or patch the holes in my bed. All I need is a mig welder,a big ass grinder and a bigger compressor to paint with. I'll be ding my own paint job when the time comes. I have all the time in the world to build the truck, but I don't have all the money in the world, lol.
