To buy or not to buy mazda b series?

hey guys, i just signed up for the forum bc i have a chance to buy a 1986 Mazda pickup truck for $450 - $500. It runs, has no leaks, no AC, rebuilt motor 2 yrs back, passenger window is off track, drivers side handle is broken from the inside, and needs new front and rear bumpers. The truck on KBB is worth $450 in FAIR condition. I will be buying it with intent to bag it myself or with a buddy that used to have a bagged mazda. My question is....is this truck worth buying? Are most parts easily fixed by a Shadetree mechanic like me? I own an 05 Subaru Wrx with over 300hp and finally decided to stop messin with it, thats the reason for possibly buying the truck. So it wont be my daily driver, just my park and pimp. haha. What do you think?

YEAH THE BSERIES TRUCKS ARE EASY TO WORK ON IF YOU HAVE BASIC MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE, IF THE ENGINE IS IN GOOD CONDITION IT'S WORTH THAT MUCH! I WOULD CHECK THE FRAME & BODY FOR RUST & STRAIGHTNESS OTHER THAN THAT, SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEAL!

Mazda B trucks are very very strong trucks, and the motors in them and insanely strong, some have lil problems with blowing head gaskets but thats no big deal.

Thats because you drive your truck like its got a Hemi, right? lol...Redline Redline Redline...lol

so are the motors just a big S$*T bucket or are they decent? I know the 2.2L ford motors last forever

any idea of how many miles are on it?

its well known that these trucks last forever. mine is 16 years old, just turned over at 140k and its still running great. no real work has been done on it in years other than just the usual maintenance. you can aks the other guys, i know theres guys that have well over 200k on thier trucks.
