When my audio starts going in I will be putting a 120 amp alternator on mine. It's 3 months old so I might as well use it. (like $60ish new)

Im on the look out for a new alternator....(no luck so far)...ha ha

the best thing to do is to run two alt., the factory on a b2200 with a manuel trans puts out 60amps at 3,000 rpms. i would find a one wire alt. for a new chevy that has electonic fuel injection and get another battery. that way the new alt. is just charging that battery which would be hooked up to the new compressor. that should solve the problem.
