Paint

When you guys get your trucks painted do you do it yourselves or sdo you take it somewhere and have them paint it? How much does it usually run you?

All depends on what your getting done.

If you have the stuff and are able to (alot depends on were you live) and wont to learn something then try it yourself. If you cant paint in your area then take it to someone. Im gone paint mine myself but I can cuase I live in the sticks and not meny peeps aournd me

mine was painted at school my my teacher. i got the "bucket deal" which is rather common for anyone who has nothing and needs to paint. it includes
1 gal paint
3 rolls of tape (2 one inch and 1 three inch)
masking paper (2 pounds shy of a metric fuckton)
clear
reducer
tack cloth
bucket
paper (you pick 400,600,1000 grit)
plus more....its everything you need sept primer. cost me ummm 250-260 and i got 2006 gmc envoy blue

yeah if you dont have the equiptment now, as in large cappacity air compressor and paint gun, gettin started may be kind of expensive. but after that it would be way worth it to do it your self. its actualy really easy to, if you were interested i could write you a step by step

A lot of time you can detail I mean unless the clear is cracking or its just a rust bucket. You would be surprised how much better the truck looks after you put a PC or rotrary to it with some polish!

heres my buddys caddi i painted a couple months ago for about 500 bucks in materials. you cant really see it but it has a pearl lace pattern from the body line down.
