License plate laws

Again, thanks for the input. New window should be here 11/2/06 if the tracking info is correct. Now that the back plate location is set, will need to do something about the front plate (damn Iowa laws!!!!!)

Damaz - Where did the red/white tail lenses come from - I like!

Probably did it himself, with some transparent red over clear lenses.

Awesome,that window will look sweet. You guys are required to have front plates too eh? I've seen some guys french them into the front bumpers. That's about all you can really do.

Thanks for the compliments. The rear plate is lit with a billet specialties lighted license plate frame. Easy hookup too. Spliced a wire from the original plate light wires and ran it into the cab. Then all ya gotta do is ground the frame. I guess it was easier for me cause I had all my interior and shit out for the BD.

As for the taillights, ya, I used transparent red paint for model cars, and then cleared it. I also sanded off all the moulded in raised letters on the lense to make them look a bit smoother. The only problem with the model paint clear is that it doesn't withstand the sun and rain as good. After a couple of years I had to resand the lense and reclear it.
