I think my bud NYTRD laid it out for u pretty well.I would recommend the 34/34 Weber, coated PAcesetter ,lite flywheel,I am running the 40K Accel coil ,I am running a single 13 inch pull thru Flexalite electric fan, change all ur fluids to synthetic ,put a good battery like a red top or yellow top and I think u will be surprised at the way ur truck will perform. All this can be done in a couple weekends if ur good with hand tools and have acess to metric wrenches and a lift.BJ

I appreciate the help guys. I've got most of the stuff checked out. For the header it said under engine "2.0, 2.2L Driver Side Exh. (carb. only, no auto trans)". That doesn't mean I can't put it in an automatic does it? I don't know much, but I don't see how the tranny would matter for a header. I'm also thinking about having the exhaust system redone when I get the header so that it all fits right and I have a little wider exhaust going into a glass pack instead of a normal muffler. And when that's done putting in a new high flow catalytic converter that I just picked up.

Again, thanks for the help. After all this, it'll just need some paint and it'll be good for me.

the header will fit an auto tranny.....the pipes of the header go into the collector, then there is a piece that hooks into it what has a bung for the
o2 sensor, from what i understand, that piece will have to be "flattened"
to get past the tranny's bellhousing. if it were me & i had an auto tranny & was gonna go to an exhaust shop to have it re done, i'd put the header on, & get them to make/bend the short piece for inbetween it & the cat so you don't have to "flatten" the short piece that comes with it.

Rather than a glasspack there are several good low restriction aftermarket mufflers out there that will sound better and last longer.I am using a Flowmastwr 40 but there are others.BJ
