ABS plastic is really common from what I know. I thought polystyrene was styrafoam? Lol!

I know that when we use plastic welding products we only stick to one thing now. They have a product called Maxim Extreme. Its a whole kit, and it should do you very good! Hardens completely in less than 2-3 min.! Gotta work quick!

chemical plastic welders are not as strong as actual plastic welding 90 percent of the time.

I don't believe I've used a plastic welder, lol. What would the difference be? I mean don't both use the same method of repair?

Just like mine though, you have to mix the substance. It actually came out really well when I did it too! Reinforced the back of it with some fiberglass like matting. Eh, it looked good atleast! Lol.

Just wanted to add this in from my experience in the body shop. One of the easiest ways I found to fix a crack in lets say a bumper. I was trying to figure it out and ended up with this. A while back metal staples were used to hold the area togeather then were covered over however they would always rust through and suck. So what I found to work well is this. Got some tiny plastic ties and simply drill 1/8" holes on either side of the crack all the way along and then loop the ties through and do them very tight so they hold it in place right. Then get some crazy glue and goop it up to hold it temporarily on the back. Then simply put some mesh over it and fill it with the compund until it is nicely covered. Use lots of pressure. Then get your sander and sand off the plastic ties on the good side of the bumper. Simply just coat with your plastic filler and finish it. This method worked very well and holds up for a very long time.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.
