Im confused with carbon fiber, is it the same process (or similar) to glassing?

Similar, but if you wanna build actual structural pieces then you want to bag the pieces and autoclave them.

seibon was the place that i saw would make custom parts, minimum of 20 parts must be made......

i doubt we could get 20 members together to do a group buy, it would depend on the price, and even then we would have to come up with a design that everyone would agree on....

and thankyou very much, I could not remember what the proccess was called, I kept looking for books on vacuum forming and was running into other things that didnt remotely relate to carbon fiber.

hey gravity5, how far are you from the washington border?

a poll should be started and suggestions taken.
Tonneau
hood
monocoque dash
center/roof console

These are some common parts that may be applicable

heh in due time, I was just curious at this time, dont have the equipment yet to do this, I got my car that I am working on right now, just picked up the motor last sunday for my valiant and am starting to tear it down to put new gaskets in it so I can start driving my car low and slow, then I can start on the fun stuff for my mazda when it gets parked.

hmmm, a carbon fiber valve cover would look awesome too, I wonder if there has to be anything special for it to take that kind of heat
