haha i know that feeling i had a baby battery and it didnt last that long I have been looking at gm 1 wires on e-bay the 100amps are going for $65 all day long.

go to an auto parts store ask for pn: A7127M got it for 56.00 bucks and its a gm one wire, just gotta grind you alternator bracket to make it fit with the stock belt.. you could get a longer belt but fuc* that too much to take off for that belt lol, glad you got it fixed though, my alt, will be done tomorrow after work and ill letcha know how it works out. haha im excited, just outta curiousity what wire was shorted?

I dunno how it is on the 86 and newer but shit dude it was easily as hell to get my alternator on and off and its easilyyyyyyyyyyy adjustable so I dont think we will have a problem with it but thanks for looking out man.

yeah, i think my baby battery is toast. when the guy that bagged it relocated it, he put it in the firewall. no big deal, but damn man, he could have put a bigger box to install a bigger battery. oh well, i am going to get a yellow top and relocate it to the bed. i will make the box in the firewall a tool box or something, haha.

thanks for the part number i am going to look into doing that as well. i really don't know what wire is shorted out, it isn't really shorted it is like broke or loose or something. i have to jiggle all the wires near the fuse box to get certain things to work. i don't want to use my new ez wire harness kit until i v8 it but i don't know if i am even going to put a v8 in now, with the way gas prices are going i may just rebuild the 2.0. i like this eng. it is a beast.
