Rear View Mirror

Okay I can't get my rear view mirror to stick. I have tried 3 different glues. The one that came with the mirror, and two other kinds I bought at the auto store. I always clean the glass very well, sand the metal button, and follow the directions. And every time the mirror falls off. I'm fuckin pissed. I'm beginning to think its the PPG glass. And my truck came with a headliner mirror from the factory so there wasn't one to use. Anyone have any tips?

do you have a heat gun?

i dont think you are supposed to sand the metel part..i usually glue the metel tab and let it sit for 24 hours b4 putting the mirror back on

dude, you are in cali. it is to hot for rearview mirrors. haha, the sun always melts the glue off. j/k. yeah, let the plate sit on the glass for like 24-48 hrs before installing the mirror. if it still falls off, then i dunno. i do the same thing, sand the metal plate and clean the glass real good.

gorilla glue worked good for the rear view on my buddys truck.

make a pedastal and put it on the dash! that way u can see behind u when ur riding cali (front up, back down)

The instructions say to sand the metal part, to give it grit and help it stick. And I always let it sit for 2-3 days before doing it. This last time I let it sit in the garage for 48 hours, and I put the mirror on. As soon as I tried to adjust the mirror it pulled off.

Marcus I need something that will break the windshield if I pull it off.

I dunno man,I tried installing a mirror in my old car that fell off with a mirror glue kit and I had the same problem so I gave up and just zip tied the mirror to my sun visors,lol
