thats cool man. the riverhounds are in the usl and they have been terrible the last few years. we got a new coach for this upcoming year though, i grew up playing with a couple of guys who are on the team, and this new coach is a stud. def hoping for a better season than last.

I'm glad the Steelers won. Now I don't have to hear my Dad say stuff like "back in the 70s..." Now hopefully he at least updates his stories to 2006 timeline, haha. The Seahawks kept us on our toes at least. Both teams had room for improvement though. I just wish Seattle and it's fans would have a little bit more class than to go blaming the refs and poor calls. If they were Super Bowl Champion material they would have still won with a dozen poor calls. The Steelers have done it before, just ask Polamalu. But in any case, we won. We can go for #6 next year!

Rather than win with just a single good running play.. a cheap trick play and a freebie touchdown?

Dude.. you are so full of yourself its laughable. The Steelers didnt earn that game in the slightest. They earned 14 points.

I am done bitching about this now. So you can yell and scream and call me whatever names you want to. Just because you are a steelers fan doesnt mean you have to be blind to what happened in that game. The steelers won it. And I congratulate them. The worked hard all season long to get to that game. The people who dont deserve the win are fans like you.

s10blazed, you'd have to be blind and or stupid not to see what the entire country is talking about, I'm friends with a bunch of guys in Fort Lewis WA and they are from PA, all of them are very happy with their "paper champs" and even they have enough knowledge and balls to admit something "fishy" happend and it helped our your Steelrs.

im sorry, but no coach should stand up and say what holmgren said...."we didnt know we were going to be playing against the refs also." not one time in the 14 years as a head caoch has Cowher said that the reason they lost a game was the refs.
if anything, the superbowl this year stayed consistent with the rest of the season. refs made bad calls all season, and there was multiple times that the NFL apologized because they didnt get it right. they def need to step it up for next year.

Tunes, theres no need to go and tell people to F off. everyones got their opinions, so let everyone voice them.

I admit that I got more annoyed than I should have.. and I apologize to the board for that. But I will not apologize to s10blazed. I found his comments to be a direct attack and arrogant. For me.. its not really about who won the game. That part is over and done with. Its the holier than thou attitude that many of the Steelers fans seem to have taken in defense of their team. I apologize for belittling their accomplishment in the superbowl. But I am simply appalled at how bad the refs called the game. If they are going to make contrived calls.. they at least need to be fair about it and do it to both teams, and they didnt. The refs blatantly favored the Steelers in that game. And no its not just us Seahawk fans that are seeing it.. its all over ESPN and every major sports writer in the country is calling for the officials heads. So just how does that mean that we seahawk fans have less class? As for Holmgren making that statement.. well if the shoe fits.. wear it. This crap has happened as you said all season long and to various teams as well. Heck in the Carolina vs. Seattle game.. Julius Peppers dragged Matt Hasslebeck out of bounds with both hands yanking on his face mask. A ref was standing not even 5 yards away.. yet it was a no call. The officiating in the superbowl was so blatantly bad.. I really believe there is the distinct possibility that the officials were paid off to throw the game in the favor of the Steelers. Does this mean that the Steelers didnt deserve to win? No.. I applaud their efforts and congratulate them. So why is it that the Steelers fans just cant admit that the refs were biased? Its not like the game is going to get replayed. Its not about changing the outcome of the game.. its about instigating a investigation into why it happened and what can be done to prevent it from happening to other teams in the future.

Thank you tunes, for proving my point. Passing blame onto the officials is as unsportsmanlike as you can get and shows no class. You are always going to get poor calls in any game. Officials are human too. I totally disagree with you on what calls you deem 'unfair' except for the one illegal block. Ben's run was ruled a TD on the field and was not over turnable. Rules are rules and if Seattle did the same I'd stick to my opinion on it. I guess those 2 missed field goals were the ref's fault too? And all the dropped passes that the ref's blocked? You could always blame the black/white colors of their uniform saying it distracted the receiver. Or maybe there was too much noise? Any other excuses I'm forgetting?

If you took offense to my statement, it just shows that you are one of the people I was referring to. I meant no offense or ignorance by my statements. I was just stating what I've observed from the Seattle coaches and players and a few fans I've read comments from on the net. I've seen better sportsmanship from midget football teams.

Bullshit. You would be screaming bloody murder if the tables were turned. And no.. Seattle didnt have a perfect game. And its not about who won.. its about the refs determining the outcome of the game. Except the Steelers fans like you seem to think its all about you and its not. So you insult the Hawks fans because in your own world the Steelers are so perfect that they couldnt have possibly lost the game or have been helped in the game by bad officiating. Again.. its not about who won or lost.. yes we are annoyed about it, but the main thing is.. we dont want it to happen again. The league needs to take steps to assure that this sorta thing is not allowed or acceptable. Maybe you should turn on the TV and check out something national and not just local news on what people think happened in that game. Its not just seattle or our coaches & fans.. the WORLD knows how bad the officiating was in that game. Just you seem to live in your own world and reject reality because you dont like it. Must be nice to live in a world where when you win, fair or unfair, you can hide behind words like "sportsmanship" and proclaim that everyone else is wrong. And thats really the difference here.. if the Hawks had won and the officiating had been as blatantly wrong against the steelers as it was against the Hawks.. we seattle fans would feel bad that we won in such a cheap way. We wouldnt ignore reality. Sure we would be happy that our team won, but we would feel just as bad for the team that lost. But somehow you seem to only be able to insult those that lost unfairly. So who is the better person? I am not qualified to judge you any further than what the facts state. But I am sure you are king of your own world and get the riches you justly deserve.

the refs didnt play the game.
it was the Steelers vs the Seahawks.

Whatever. I am done with this now.. Believe what you will. Might as well delete my profile from this board as well. I wont be back to a place with such biased narrow minded people as mods and members. The sad part is.. it was just a freaking football game. Why is it so hard for Pittsburg people to admit it was wrong? I wish the Steelers good luck next year.. and I hope their fans grow up a little.
