Here is one I custom made for a buddy of mine. He wanted something a bit different.





I use mine for a media center. it streams shoutcast and I can watch movies that are stored on my PC on my TV over the home network. The one with the blue screen on the front is goin in my truck instead of a traditional head unit.

Yeah, of course. Thats my specialty. Thats actually the reason I have so many here right now. 2 of them are mine and work. 1 is a friends that is untouched that we used for Xbox live when we had it, 2 are broken ones I use for spare parts, another is one waiting for a chip, and the clear one with the mirror red sticker is one I just built for a friend of mine who wanted a custom looking one.

thats sweet man. a kid that lives right above me at school modded his so he can rip anything on the hard drive, but he can also boot NES, SNES, and some arcade games on it. its pretty sicko

Yeah, there is no reason why everyone should not have one. It will work as a DVD player in the least. It also streams shoutcast, plays divx movies straight off of my computer, and the emulators of course are a bonus. You can also run Linux on them, but thats only for the hardcore nerds.

i work in our comp dept at school and we are always joking around about when someone brings in a computer thats all messed up with viruses and stuff we say:
Format-Install Linux

i think i read somewhere that only about 1 out 100 people use linux over windows.

are you familiar with Linux? I grew up on Windows and I hate the programming aspect of PCs. Linux is a bit much for me, but I had hoped to learn it to run a USB relay board from it... but I have practically abandoned that idea to run a Windows based PC in my truck along side the xbox to control the relay board.
