has anyone here put linux on an x-box yet? they're pretty cheap as far as i can see.. might make sense to try using one as a pc with linux instead of those damn x-box games lol..

Yeah, its really common to run Linux on an Xbox. It's the ultimate irony. The Xbox is essentially a Celeron (766 I think??) with 64 mb of RAM. Definitely not a top of the line PC but it could work for internet and e-mail if you are patient.

...and very ironic to run linux on a system built completely built by Microsoft.

only linux ive ever used was red hat and it wasnt to bad i just didnt use it enought to get real use to it
