OK, my truck is sitting in my yard. only about 6-8 hours away from being drivable. Well last thing I worked on was my door poppers. They are not hooked up and I have no door handles. It started to rain one day while it was sitting in the yard, and my wife went out and rolled the windows up. Now I have no way to get into my truck. Anyone got any help? No battery either, which wouldn't help anyways, since the poppers ain't hooked up.

the rear window is whats called a rope in, its only sealed by the rubber, just grab the top corner with your fingers and pull, the window will start popping out, its really easy to put back in too... lemme know

hahaha ive feared doing this, thats why i left my key hole on my drivers door unshaven for now so i can stick a screwdriver in and push the latch release until i get some working batteries, as for the rain i covered it with a piece of tape.

i guess your only options are popping the back window as slammed said
or you can bend up a heavy coat hanger and rape around in your door trying to hit the latch release, if you try this method i suggest bending the hanger like an 'N' at the end so you have a greater chance of hitting the release.

well, I still have my key hole in the driver side door, but it's not hooked up at the present time either. Thats my problem. I guess I will try and take the back window out tomorrow. Is it hard to put back in?

good luck, man. Only things that make getting locked out worse most of the time are A - it's running, B - something/someone is in the vehicle and can't use the locks/handles, C - it's really freaking cold out.

you get bonus points for not having an easy way in.. there's a possibility you can still get something up under the door release, but coat hangers are rarely going to do the trick..

are the doors locked, or just closed with no handles? you still have inside handles? your best bet might be to (CAREFULLY) wedge the top of the door open and hook your inside handle, in that case. easy does it, especially if you have a paint job and/or don't like wind noise.

if you take the rear window out, let us know how it goes. I want to swap over to a slider window if i find one sometime.

On a positive note.. your wife owes you one? haha.

you have a few options by the sounds of it, my Daughter got out and closed her door in my first bodydrop ranger at the car wash while it running, she was supposed to stay in it while i got change but...
The back window worked that day, shitty thing is anyone can pop a back window and jus take your ride!!

doubledamnit - *there's a possibility you can still get something up under the door release, but coat hangers are rarely going to do the trick..*

coat hangers work great for pulling up the lock button, so long as the rodwork is still attached in place and you know what you're trying for. I can unlock my truck with a hanger/wire/whatever in about five seconds, fifteen if it's dark out.

and I'm totally not flaming you, but are you talking about after you shaved your handles, it takes a minute with a hanger, or before? Gotta let me know if I'm wrong.

all I was saying was the actual door latch, the one activated by pulling the handle, might be a tough customer with a hanger, especially if nothing is attached to it.. Most of the time they're better guarded and much harder to move than the rest of the lock. They're designed that way.

Man, I sound bitchy. I need to eat something.. lol.

Mostly I just wanna know if he's gotten into the truck yet, and how.

the rear window is simple to put back in although its a 2 persn job, one outside holding it up while one inside pulling it in, you get normal twine and set it around the entire inner edge of the seal have it meet at the top middle and set the window in have the outside person push in while you pull the rope inward, hense the style name "rope in" the twine will putll the seal in and vuala
