but yeah im saying a completely shaved door with no rods attached
you can get it open with a coat hanger, not one of those shit coat hangers either im talking a good quality dry cleaners hanger.
you bend the end of it so it resembles something like this Z_________
now if you insert that into the window trim right above where abouts the key hole was you can catch what use to be the release for the external handle with the 'Z' shaped portion of your hanger,
push down and pop your door is open.

I had my door apart to reconnect one of those damn return springs, and didn't pay attention to where the handles connected.. you should write up a tutorial on opening up your truck with shaved handles.. and then sell it to people when they need it. haha.

Most of the cars that come in to our shop with a door stuck shut/handle broken take way longer than a minute or two to get opened up.

you may also want to go to autoloc's website or suicide doors website and buy yourself an emergency release cable incase this ever happens again. that way all you have to do is pull the cable and you are good to go

dude ive had so many troubles in the past, that the locks are pretty much the first thing i look at when i get a new vehicle, ha.
