has anyone with a solid rear window made it into a limo style window? you know where the rear window goes all they way down/up at the hit of a switch? anyone? i might look into doing it. might be cool as hell. a local junkyard/salvage yard has a few limos here. i might look into getting the gear and messing around with it. whats everyone think?

I think it would be pretty sweet to have. They used to sell kits for that back in the day from what ive read.

Definately a sweet idea. One concern would be that damn inward bump in the center of the back of the cab (at least on the standard cabs). That MAY present a problem with the window going straight down. On the other hand, most door windows dont go straight down either, they curve a little. Would definately be a cool mod on an extended cab with a nice sub box covering all the ugly parts. Push the button and bye bye rear window

Would be something different and very cool...

I say go for it..

I think u might have some major engineering issues getting it to seal-remember the seal is all thats holding these windows in.How about having window hinged at the top and tilt out with the seal remaining with the window?BJ

i thought about it and its definitely do able especially when 4runner, even the old ones like pre 1990, have the back windows that go down.
