you can use the same gun for primer and paint you just have to swap the nozzles. unless you just want to buy 2 guns then therefore, nevermind. haha.

there's a snapon mac and matco truck that come into the parking lot where i work. the mac dude is the only dude that comes into the shop tho... the snapon and matco guy go to the shop next door... whatever.. i have had pretty good luck with my mac air tools. i like them. i just recently bought an impact wrench and it tears shit up! diggin it. i like my mac stuff. i've bought a few things here and there, but i'll lay no claim to 70k in tools tho.
some people say that they have a hard time getting (mac, matco, snapon) to replace their tools, or they get the runaround... but it depends on your tool dealer. our mac dude is great, and always busts ass to get our tools replaced or repaired. he's pretty good.
u got the right idea - buy those tools at discount. shit gets EXPENSIVE!

Honestly,It looks like Craftsman or whatever you wanna call it has a bad reputation. My boss surprized me one day with a used roller tool box,It retailed for like $600,he got it for a 1/3 of that. In my opinion it works great. What is a tool box supposed to do? I guess if you do alot of traveling and like to toss your tools out a a moving truck maybe buy a $3,000 tool box.I know if I was traveling I'd make sure my tools were strapped down very well.

All my tools are pretty much Craftsman, Whenever I do break somthing I just take it back.If they do give me a hard time I just explain to them about the tool because most of the time they dont know weather it 1/2 or 3/8.......

So for everybody that does want to build mini trucks yourself and you want to spend money on things you need, not tools.Buy whatever it takes to get the job done.I bet when your done with your truck They arn't going to ask you "Did you build your truck with Snap-On?"

But I will say that my welder and plasma are Lincoln.I belive that this equipment is better than the average crap.I want to know that my machine is is very capable of doin what I need it to do.
I also believe that a Sata gun will spray better than Sharpe But on the other side,My 14mm Craftsman is just as good as the 14mm Snap-on
Air tools are another story,I definatly own a snap on impact, and my die grinder ir ingersall-rand,The money I saved buyin craftsman I was able to buy a hutchins DA and DAQ.....I just think where I should spend my money.
You may think I'm just cheap,But I consider myself not so frivolous with my money.
This is my opinion.I already see that most of you Don't think the same way as I do. I wish I had more money to buy a better brand name tools,But hey what are ya gonna do?

BTW----Meesh Definatly take advantage of you 50% discount. What kinda prices are you gettin for the SATA's .The baddest gun ever.I assume you could pick from the whole line?I have my eye set on an RP..

not so true. craftsman compared to snapon or mac are very different. there's a reason they are more expensive. ever check out the wall thickness of a socket? cheaper sockets have a thicker wall to make up for strength. that usually doesn't matter, but in a tight space, my craftsman sockets are too big, example - lug nuts in certain styles of wheels.

I've got a cheapo impact socket set from Discount auto and never have any problems. There is always another way to do things another than to just throw money at a problem.

if you want your tools to get stolen then get a craftsman tool box. if not then get snap-on or matco. a couple yrs ago there was a security guard at my job was stealing tools out of all the craftsman boxes. he couldn't get into the snap-on and matco tool boxes. and the company i work for only reimburses employes for 700 dollars worth but you have to pay a 100 deductible. so you only get back 600 bucks. i have more than 600 bucks in any 1 drawer of my box. craftsman sucks all the way around but they are a lot cheaper. but you get what you pay for!

Well thankfully I dont have any problems like that. That sucks I bought tools that "suck",I wonder if I'll be able to finish my truck....We shall see.........
BTW I'm only 23...Doin the best I can

I have a used Craftsman box, and I like it. But I don't have to worry about people stealing anything as long as my garage door is shut.

I know what you mean about high dollar drawers though. I just dedicated one of the small drawers to my dimple dies, which makes it a $300 drawer thats only 4x4x8.
