They dont come with a manual transmission? If thats true then thats just retarded.

so they pretty much took their infiniti g32 design and spiced it up... its alright lookin, but i like the older more racey look as opposed to the luxurious look.

partially true, not available in soley a manual tranny...it is a 6 spd dual clutch automatic, that can be shifted manually either with the shifter or with slap sticks on the steering wheel, it also has two modes, regular which shifts the gears in like .05 of a second, and race mode where it shifts in .02 of a second.....any performance purist kinda like me & you fe3 would much rather have had the option of manual only, but I can see where this tranny fulfills the best of both worlds, auto & manual, plus it cuts down on production cost of having to adapt two different trannys into the cars platform. but i'm sure someone within a short period of it coming out will be modifying them to what ever they want, tranny swaps, bigger turbos etc etc, but @ 50-70k they'll need a pretty big bank just to own one!

Its a fuckin awesome car.
The transmission is a good idea, It shifts so damn fast in the videos.
NO human could manipulate that, lets face it..and with quick shifts the boost wont let off.

Although i wouldn't buy one..not right away anyway. You could easily just get a G35, twin turbo it and have equal performance pretty much.

I'm not saying dont offer the double clutch slick shift electronic shit.

i'm saying offer a tradition gearbox that a true motoring enthusiast will enjoy.

nightrider :

can you explain how to bounce off the rev limiter in neutral and let the clutch pop all at once into 3rd gear with that setup?

i suspect its not possible.

its also not possible to miss gears out afaik. i'm a big fan of lowest gears to the highest revs until target speed is reached, and straight into 4th/5th to cruise. 2,3,4 often get missed when driving around town with me.

i'm sure people will be swapping z32/g35 boxs into them asap. but if you buy a brand new car, do you want to HAVE to start modding it straight away and void your warranty?

I'm also with you on this train of thought, I doubt it can be done, but that might be able to be answered by those that have run this type of tranny for several years now, our trusty italian friends from ferrari, I'd dare to say that we'll have to see what the factory racing teams come up with to get our answer on this question, probably like you said before, swap out the trannys to the traditional manual instead of the electronic one.....my daily is a sentra se-r spec v, and it is a 6 spd manual, i very rarely use all 6 gears, more like 1st-2nd-4th-6th, or 1-2-3-6 unless i'm really getting into the gas, then i'll hit all the gears.
