Whats up with all the evil movies?

I have no clue what Beerfest is, haven't seen a preview. But I don't think he listed those saying they made him/anyone question the Faith. I think he was just listing some of the latest "evil" movies.

I myself enjoy good horro films and I'm absolutely a proud and strong Christian. No movie, not even Davinci, is going to make me question my faith lol. I did watch as much stuff on the DC as I could to see what the "story" was behind, but there was nothing there I felt was meaningful toward the Christian faith. It was hypothesis...period.

I do tend to stay away from, and don't support, movies glorifying sex, drugs, language, etc. not because it makes me question my faith, but really because I don't agree with glorifying those things. I just personally don't like seeing all that crap. I haven't even brought myself to watch Talladega Nights yet...and I was a stand in on the film lol...but I'll probably watch it when it hits cable or DVD...like most of the movies I watch

I agree, though its not me I worry about either, I still avoid bad entertainment and association, its how these movies portray murder, the occult, women and illicit lifestyles etc. And what they teach our youth. Garbage in, garbage out.

Basically, what you let into your mind does affect you, DC is not gonna make me doubt what I know either.
I used to love zombie movies for example, but, I would not want the youth of my congregation to be stumbled by it, one has to consider the example they set to others as a minister of Christ.

Its the fact people are'nt realizing whats happening, and they think its okay. But hey, this is just my opinion.

Theres not much for selection of "clean" movies out there, unless you like really old musicals.....Disney.........BingCrosby .... ... ....yuck!

I honestly have to say I agree lol, Blare. Here's my opinion on that...and why I didn't point it out. It seems in today's world a lot of people claim to be Christian, yet still don't 1. fully live like it, or 2. still have demons to get rid of, (so to speak), and may not even realize it. So I didn't want to mention it just feeling he's one of the 2 points possibly. Also alot of today's Christian men/boys feel that sex outside marriage is ok. I don't. So I didn't cast judgement on him, and honestly didn't even remember him saying he was "of the Christian faith ... and have a personal relationship with Christ" till I just looked back at the previous page to see

Sierra...or anyone else who's interested: Sadly you can't tell always by watching those who claim to be Christians to see what Christ was truly like. To see who He is and what He stands for you honestly have to read His Word. So to everyone I suggest one book of the Bible...The Book of John. It to me is the most pivital book of the Bible in how it tells the story of Christ.


Maybe I should have spoke up about his avatar before, but I didn't know his faith, and it's not right for me to tell him what he can or can't have on these forums which isn't mine lol, so I didn't.

But if you claim to be Christian...please think about the portrayal of Christ you are putting out to the world.


lol funny thing. You learn about this stuff. I had a Got Jesus? sticker on the rear window of my Honda. I am a offensive driver and can't stand slow people. So I thought...after the fact of course....about what image I just portrayed to the people I'd pass cuz they were doing the speed limit and I wanted to go 5mph faster lol. I no longer have a "Jesus" sticker on my truck....not like I could pass anyone in it though lol. I've gotten better too

the movie industry has been in the shitter for a while. and unfortunetly its still so wound up around religion it only makes sense that religion would be wrapped up in shitty movies.
