FYI

It's a sad day for some. Schumacher announced that he will be retiring after this year's season, today after the Italian Gran Prix at Monza, where he won. The man was, and is the best, next to Ayrton Senna imo, who passed away 12 years ago. F1 won't be the same without him.

doesnt he also do WRC or does he have a big family? All I here in the world of motor sports is Michael Schumacher wins this and that he is a living ledgend in my book forthe world of motor sports!

nah, no WRC. he's just F1. there are several race drivers with Schumacher as last name. he is 1 of 2 Schumachers in F1

but yea it sucks, won't be the same. he actually finally got a good contender, Fernando Alonso. but seems like drama in Ferrari ruined it

yeh , mad respect for this guy, but It will be nice to see somebody else win for a change, it's like going to the same rock show all the time, hearing the same song ........and Mike S wins agian!!
But yeah, he is the best!

Yea, Shumi is one of the best. There is a reason why he races in the series with the so-called best in the world. I have been watching him since his career began back when no one really knew what F1 was around here. I wish he would stay around a lil longer to battle out with Fernando Alonso. Maybe we will get to see a good battle for the final 3 races. What I cant believe is that there wasnt anymore publicity than there was over his announcement. Maybe it was the way he did it. He did it just kindof briefly and as not to make much of a deal out of it. You have to respect him for that.

They said he finished first as many times as he's finished 2nd through sixth. That's why he's the richest athlete in the world.

But that stat is also misleading. There's been many times when Micheal was 2nd and his teammate was first and they made his teammate slow, so as to have Micheal finish first. I understand why but thats not racing, its business.

it's just how it works in that world. his racing ethics may not be great either with stunts as that "stall" in Monaco and the Damon Hill situation yrs ago. but the man can drive. Senna had the same ethics, Schumy learned how to "play the game" from the Great Brazillian.
