i got some health issues to look after. I was diagnosed with diabetes high blood pressure and cholesterol last week. I've been kinda bummed out cuz of it but I gotta get some exercise into my routine and start eating properly, I let my job control my lifestyle, no time for anything, and livin on fast food and energy drinks, so I gotta turn it around. Normal body weight for me is 200 lbs and I'm 250 right now. I am glad to see you all are interested in your health, this is very encouraging for me, thanks to everyone for your postings.
I better go for a run now.

the best way to become healthy according to one of my fitness teachers is to start with strength training. obviously walking or jogging is needed too depending on your current fitness level.
but when you strength train, your muscle tissue grows, and muscle tissue will help to burn off the fatty tissue, also if im not mistaken, the sugars your body absorbs are used for good when your strength trainning instead of being added to the fats.

if your overweight and want to be fit, be sure to lift, the only thing is, dont use a scale very often cause you may not see a difference in your weight, however, check your bodyfat levels, then check it again after a couple weeks or a month, thats where you'll see the difference.

Hey man - sounds like a lifestyle change is in order for you!! all those issues are a direct result of lifestyle. good news is they can be reversed with a little effort on your behalf. I was diagnosed with diabetes last fall - but did a little fighting back - watch my diet - and added some exersize, and watched my sugar levels drop. Just got my last results back last weekand all is still good. still have a good amount of weight to loose - BUT I have become compacent lately , and have also let work dictate my my lifestyle.
OH well - a new year and a great time to turn things around - again.

Dont let your health get you down, last febuary I was found to have a 13mm pituitary macroabdinoma cercriting ( a pituitary turom pumping blood) into my ineer selluer wall of my brain, in July of 06 I had the tumor removed 1 week in ICU another 3 in the hospital, 2 wekks bed rest and even thow it was againt my docs recommendation I was back in the gym by the 4th week home. I ballooned in a short time to 275lbs im no at a lean 233 on the scale today. Positive thinking and goal orented focus is the way to be, every thing else is just road blocks. I wish you the best of luck, ill dig out some pics of me so you can see the diffrence.
