went to the junkyard. they still hvae this MINT b2600i 4x4 they had a ocuple months back.. he said $75 for the door, and $400 for the bed/fenders.. I talked with my dad, and he's gonna pay for the door, and the 4x4 sheet metal. And we'll call it even. Im gonna fix the door myself. i think i have a pretty good idea on how to fix it. Ill just cut the whole area around the hinges out.. measure it up, and weld it into the new doors. then just plate around it so its strong. Shouldn't be too hard. The hinge in the cab should be fine, so yea. I hate to see him pay $1500+ for a mistake too.. I feel bad telling him what its gonna cost. so ill just pick up the sheet metal, my truck will be 10x nicer, and call it a day.

good luck with the door, i heard doing the suicide hinges take quite a lot of time to do.

yeah, but i think i have a shortcut way of doing it. Since my door is already suicided, Im gonna measure out exactly where the hinges are located. And just cut a chunk out around where the hinges are welded to the door, Then line it up exactly in the same spot on the new door, and weld it up. then plate it up and reinforce it so its strong. Shouldnt be as hard as taking a completely stock door/cab and doing it.. because alot of time is spent reinforcing the hignes in the cab itself so shit dont bend and sag.

you definately shouldnt have as much work to do being that your hinges are allready on the truck.
but i would be careful with just measuring the new door to be identical as the old door, especially being that it got hit. theres a good chance that the door has been warped a little bit, even if it doesnt look like.
as they say, measure twice, cut once. learned that the hard way too many times.

yeah, i got the old door off and looked at it.. shoudltn be too hard to line up. that whole back area where the hinge is welded on is all plated over. so i dont think it warped much. so im gonna give it a go.. hopefully i dont mess it up..

got my 4x4 fenders on today. looks pimptacular.. There gonna be delivering the bed to my house tomorow. so if i have some free time ill start cuttin it up and bodydroppin it.
