Life before baggs, this is what I was talking about on an earlier post. I fell in love with dragging and the rest is history.
Immortal1's truck is badass

i don't know about you guys, but i build street trucks. heres my analogy:

a streettruck to a streetrod

is what

a minitruck to a lowrider is

thats how I see it. Its the type of styling that determines the class you fit into.

im not following that analogy very much. when i hear streettruck, i think of a truck with tons of bolt of accessories and not necessarily a full "custom" build. most streetrods i see at shows are full of crazy custom mods like what you see at truck shows and what graces the pages of MT.

when i hear street truck, i think of a truck that has all the mods that make a street rod a street rod as in:

crazy chassis, all smoothed painted
big brakes, nice wheels
super clean engine with lots of power
lots of billet, chrome and paint
all parts have been touched to look good
lot of custom sheet metal in the bed and engine bay/firewall
custom interior and all that

when i think of a mini truck i think of a bagged truck thats it. nothing cool about it except maybe a few bodymods

I think the whole name thing is just ignorant. I live in Southern California and I am addicted to anything with wheels. I own a 66 Cadillac convert, 2 91 Mazda B2200s, 2003 dodge ram, 2005 Escalade, 71 Olds Hearse. ALL of them are modded. The only poeple who seem to get offended by the labels placed on their cars are those that live in areas where those styles have negative connotations. I have shown my roadster in a low-rider show( and trophied) and the next weekend showed in a "mini-truck" show. The styles are simiilar enough to cause confusion in the normal person on the street. We need to respect all forms of autosports. I will probably be unpopular for saying this, but I like the Honda tuner cars sometimes. I think it would be great to have one of these with 400hp and blow the doors off some guys hopped up muscle car. My point is, no matter what style it was built in, everyone should respect the amount of time, effort, and money put into these pieces of rolling art.

Very true...plus are you adopting any il legitamate kids? With that many nice rides surely can spare one for me? LOL

i see it as 1 way we are all here or there or anywhere to customixe out truck car or what ever you have we are the bew gereration of the "musle car" ane ever between us ant them we use all their technology as in 4 links and we are all here to have fun putting in long hours cuts blood beers and trears working ou our rides there should be no discriminating between whites mexicans or blacks not here just enjoy check out someone's work and think of them as a brother or sister in the custom weather it be a dime on 24s (WHICH I HAD) a door draggin b2200 ( sold it too) or a 500 hp 71 charger rt it doesent matter why you do what you do or what you build from import to mussle rat rod to truck it is all a sport of the sampeople making an every day ride into something that is what they dream of or desire as a custom

so enjoy and dont discriminate and have fun learning about others

I think the only difference is the vehicle. we are all the same no matter where we are from treat every one the same and it does not matter what we drive enjoy each others ride and just have fun.

But that doesn't happen in reality now does it?

I like sport compact cars and stuff too,but I got out of the scene because I can't stand the crowd and the attitudes everyone has. Everyone is Holier than thou and King Shit(head).

The truck scene has a much more laid back and all-in-the-family kind of atmosphere. I prefer the company of truck owners because they seem to be the ones who are holding the scene together. For those of us in the community,we need to teach the newcomers the attitude and respect that goes along with being a part of the scene.

there is no difference we all have lowriders and we as mintuckers choose to stay together just like lowrider clubs choose to stay with in there clubs because they have more in comon as far as vehicles, but we arent different we like are shit slammed ,dragging ,scrapin and adjustable suspensions ,we wanna be scene when we cruise and live it up like we are driving million dollar vehicles ,the scenes arent much different ,but ive been to every lowrider show from here to florida and i can honestly tell you us minitruckers are different with one thing we can party, and get wild .i didnt see that stuff at any lowrider shows or hotels but ivw been to alot of minitruck shows and minitrucker get nutz ,i personally think the lowrider scene is a lil more family oriented but i love the minishows better just my style ,i had hydros and crushed velcet interior and wires but now i have this i enjoyed both styles but this is me ")just my opinion
