sorry its been sooo long...

since the last post, i been workin a lot, and i moved...

since i moved i have been able to work a lot more on the truck...

here is the update...

before i moved...

Since then,
I have mono-leafed the backend, put some 2" blocks in, and i got some air shocks on the ass end.

pics at that time...

Mazda aired up in the rear

down

Now, I have done a bit more and i have Flipped the balljoints, removed bumpstops, and i've cranked the torsion bars a lot more..

This is, again... aired up in the rear...

also, another thing that is donating to this project...

my switchbox...

i didn't want the usual 10 switch like i had purchased from hutch...

so i went from this...

to this...

btw, ITS A SPADE, NOT A HEART!

soon i am gonna round it off and i am gonna bondo/glass it...

so it went into the shop and came back out... found out the clutch fan is bad...

the shop owner told me that "the truck is unsafe to drive on the road because of how its lowered" should i listen to him and lift it back up?

tomorrow i re index the torsion bars...

Screw that guy. There's nothing wrong with how your truck is lowered. It's same as every other static drop out there. The flipped ball joints probably aren't the best idea, since all the weight rests on them now,but I haven't heard of anyone having any problems. I asked tons of questions and researched the best way to static drop my truck. That guy sounds like any dealership or garage mechanic who just fixes things and doesn't do custom work. If it's modified,to them,it's wrong. I hate people like that. I've been told my truck is unsafe by 2 mechanics as well. One shop wouldn't even look at my truck to bring it in for an alignment after I said my balljoints were flipped.

The truck is lookin sweet man!

so i'm fine?
crazymikey   +1y
technically,it is less safe because you've screwed with the suspension, but look how many other guys run static drops here. We've all done the same things because it's the only way to do it,and I haven't heard anything about people's wheels flying off, ball joints breaking, leafs snapping, blocks falling out...

Next time you see that guy, shove an air shock up his poo hole.
