I think the flat black looks badass. The green was cool only because that's a pretty uncommon colour, but flat black is cool no matter what you put it on.
I'm either leaving my truck in grey primer, painting it satin black with some old school pinstriping,or if I have enough cash, repainting it charcoal metallic.
Or I might break it up and leave the bottom half of the truck primer and do the top half flat black. That way my tinted glass, vinyl tonneau and black mirrors will all blend in. The tailgate would stay primer, but I got a stamped one so I'd fill in MAZDA in flat black.
low87,that red/black scheme is cool as hell, suits it really well! I like the way you split the colours on the body.
Keep up the sweet work guys!
Oh...while I'm at it,and we're on the topic of spraypaint, here's my old car. I rattle canned the lower half in charcoal grey because when I was shaving the door moldings,I didn't know the car was repainted before and it tore off all the paint underneath down to primer and it looked like crap,so $40 and a week later with lots and lots of wetsanding and 3 coats of clear I was done. Then when I was done I ran a 1/8" vinyl silver pinstripe where the colours met. That paint job lasted me from like June '05 when I did it,to April '06 when I scrapped the car.
