...or I could save my pennies and not spend any more money on wheels till I get the Eskies....

I paid $386 for those tires last March when I bought the truck...

...$100 for Pathfinder rims, which I had to leave on the Rodeo when I sold it,so I'm out $100 and a set of rims

...$100 to flip my tires around to have the white stripe facing out...and hated it...

$250 for the chrome rims with the 175s...

$114 to take my stock 205/75/14s,scrap the 175s and put the 205s on the chrome rims.

So in total,I've spent exactly $950 on wheels. Holy crap...that hurts adding it up like that. For that I could have already been rollin' a set of 17s or 18s by now.

very true sir, i too hate when i do that.....especially when i see not only did i buy something, then find that i don't need it or w/e, so i sell it, and don't even manage to break even

well, you know what they say, hind sight is 20/20...look at it like this, so you spent a good bit of $$, but did you learn anything from it?

yes. stop spending so much freakin money on my truck.

What you're looking at is a rusty,primered,nearly $12 000,eighteen year old truck.

wern't trying to preach at ya just saying that it is sorta like i bought my wheels, well now that i bought that axle out of the rx, i'm gonna have to change lug patterns, so they won't work.....and i doubt i'll do good to get what i paid for them.....

yours is running, & looks pretty darn'd good too, i've spent that much on mine & it isn't running, or even close to it

that must suck. For thr 6 months I had my truck off the road,I kept throwing money at it buying stuff for it and fixing it up and I was never sure if I was ever going to get it back on the road.

my honest humble advice on this subject is, you can save a lot of time and MOOLA by having a solid organised plan on what you want to do, and saving up for each upgrade, and completeing them in a logical order.
temptation is, when ya have 100 bucks , go find something small to blow it on.
After ya do that 10 times ya could have gotten a major hurdle crossed, and added something of significant value, ie wheels stereo, welder, compressor. paint supplies etc

There is an even greater challenge when its yer day to day driver, cuz sometimes yer just tryin to git to work;(

I've had a plan with this truck since the beginning and for the most part,I have stuck to it very, very well. The biggest changes of plan have been wheels, and now that I've decided to go ahead and bag it.

So far, everything has gone extremely smooth for my build, and I haven't gotten off track buying little nickel and dime things that add up. My biggest hurdle is just making the money to make everything happen. For months,I scoured mags and websites collecting information and places to source what parts to get,how and where to get them and put my budget together.

I think I've done a pretty good job of budgeting and also getting parts and work done in a timely manner. At the rate things are going,my truck is definetly set to be ready for my June 7th deadline, for this year atleast.

true, having a plan is good, doing research is better, but sometimes, shizzle just don't go the way you plan it, or murphy's law comes into play, but i have confidence it will all even out in the long run.....

yeah, there's always that annoying little thing called Life that gets in the way sometimes...

yeh crap happens bills expenses "life" happens and its hard to see it all through, it takes time patience, and money!
In some ways mikey yer further along than me and I dont have a clear indication of when I can get back to werkin on it.
I gotta finish my garage floor and wiring and lighting before I can tear her down to the frame, so that will take till late spring depending on how well tax season turns out.
