Irony:
A. The use of words to express something different from
and often opposite to their literal meaning.
B. An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast
between apparent and intended meaning.


He is, in fact, using the word irony in it's literal meaning. The sign on the store is using the word, toys, in it's literal meaning. Twisted took a pic with his truck in front of the sign for toys to mean 'Toy' which is a slang used for Toyota trucks. Obviously "contrasting the apparent and intended meaning" of the sign.

A picture of them together would be better, as anyone can google pictures of other peoples' cars and tag them as their own. This is the internet, afterall, and that happens all of the time.

But I thought you said you "didn't care," so why would you be willing to show pictures?

I honestly couldn't care less about you. But I really can't stand being called a liar. And a picture of them all together, wouldn't be possible, seeing as most are projects, and literally in pieces, and stored in different areas. Likely whatever I do won't please you, and thats fine with me.

That is not ironic. The picture doesn't contrast or oppose the intended meaning of anything. It's obviously not "contrasting the apparent and intended meaning" since it's not contrasting anything. It's a picture of a Toyota truck infront of Toys R Us, if anything that's showing coincidence, or similarity (which is opposite to contrast), but not irony.

That would be called a pun, or a play on words, which suggests that two words that sound alike yet have different meanings can be viewed to refer to the same thing. (Toyotas ~ Toys R Us)
