The caddy. Man, when I was looking for a daily driver I ended up spending 4 grand. the car broke down anyway and I don't have the money to spend on fixing it because I still owe on the damn thing, plus insurance on a newer car compared to an older one. I could've put 1200 bucks into a crappy old (perfectly running) toyota, 1200 bucks into fixing it up, and still be at half what I've paid on my car.
Personally in your situation, with my history, I would sell the caddy, find a cheap, reliable daily driver, with good gas mileage being hugely important, pay my parents back, use the gas mileage to visit the girlfriend every chance I got.
As for the truck - take your time, you have so much invested already. just keep it tuned up!

I had a '95 Nissan Hardbody that I bought in June for $1000 as a daily driver. It was in pretty good shape, but had high miles. I GAVE it to v8mazda4ever as partial payment towards the air ride on the Mazda. Now that we're not doing that,he's agreed to pay me $1000 for the truck. After getting rid of the Nissan,it left me with just the Mazda and needing to buy another beater. I was going to go out and spend like $1500 on another shitbox so I could put all my money into the Mazda, but as my track record goes,in 5 years,I've owned 14 cars and never had any one of them for more than a year and a half. Most of them last 3 to 8 months if I'm lucky.
My parents and grandparents talked me into buying a newer car. I needed/wanted something practical, reliable and good on the highway. I drive to work an hour and 15 mins each way every day,so I need a nice comfy cruiser, and with my girl living over 2 hours away,I do tons of highway driving, all of which the Mazda can't handle. I came to a toss up between the Cadillac or a 2000-2000 Cavalier Z24 coupe and I figured for the money I'm going to spend,I better make damn sure I like the car and for that money,if I have a choice between a Caddy or a Cavy,I think I'd choose the Caddy. The Caddy is pretty good on gas too, actually, even better than my Mazda. The Caddy is the nicest car I've had since my first car, which my dad bought for me and was an '87 Toyota Celica GTS. Ever since that car,I bought all my own and they were total shit boxes and I wasted so much money. The Caddy was a smart choice because it's not a car that I will be tempted to play with too much, and it's practical, yet still a car I can be happy to cruise around in during the summer.
