Advice on hinges for rear tailgate to swing door

OK IVe decided to modify the Tailgate on my truck to a single swing door that will open to the drivers side like your fathers old station wagon. Im looking for suggestions for easy to use hinges to do the mod. maybe suicide door hinges and popper? Another thought for the latch would be to use a stock Mazda passenger door assembly with lock and latch to match the side doors.



Open to any thoughts no matter how wild you think they might be and pics and links are welcome

sparky ( vice prez of dragginforce) did this to his tailgate and he used a stock Mazda hood armS a peice of square tubeing and my welder . He had to do a little spaceing bit it works

look in to the trunk hinge of a chevy car they are like a mini 4link and push the truck up and away from the body as it opens,small and would be in side the body no one would see them when it was closed

Clueless here, what years?

I had a pos 86 standard cab we used as a donor truck for a motor/tranny swap
I will try to take some pics of it today when he comes by to pick up his new sticker
