I know that this might not be so kosher over here, but any of you guys have any Bs that are lifted? Show me all your static or bagged lifts I'll start with what I did in the rear, the front I just cranked the t-bars (for now)

Originally did this to lift the rear end some as I have a heavier bed made of PT on the rear. I chopped it down quite a bit and lightened it. The end result was about a 2 inch lift. With a metal bed on there and good leaf springs (salvaged from my "trailer") I expect a 3 inch lift.

Future funding permitting, I might bag my completed B to give me a nice lift. I plan to be at just an inch UNDER stock height when fully deflated, fully inflated I would like to be a couple inches HIGHER. Just enough to fit some nice 31" tires on some 17s.

Lifted b's? I think I have seen a few on here. One comes to mind and that is a red one. I'll see if I can find it.

^^ You can purchase shackles for like $20 but at the auto parts store. Or call a junkyard ask if there are some leaf springs laying around, and then just add one to each side.

For the front just reindex your torsions. Mine had a bit of a lift before. I've got thicker torsions as well.

really nice to know thanks 1hotdawg. I was thinking of addin a leaf but i still dono lol. I also still dont quite understand how to reindex torsion bars

There's a thread...many of them probably...explaining how to, just use the search feature or look in the tech stuff.

One note. Adding a leaf will probably make the suspension a bit stiffer...as will indexing the torsions...you may just be able to tighten the torsions without having to go so far as to reindex them and get enough lift in the front. (look under your truck, below your doors, you'll see a bracket with a big bolt going horizontal, and a large rod going parallel to the side of the truck tied into your front control arm...that's your torsion bar, and the bolt is where you loosen or tighten it.) again look for threads on lowering and you'll just do the opposite.

thanks again mate sure does help. i was also thinking about getting some new shocks all the way around but noda money again lol

good topic, i have been wondering if there are many options to get much higher in these trucks... i can still cut down my lower bumpstops up front, and crank the torsions up a bit more i suspect, and i guess some shackles in the back end will do it. i will probably end up doing a 3" hockey puck body lift this year sometime. just got my 31" tires mounted up, so that helps a bit

elaborate more on this "hockey puck" lift that you refer to. Does this actually mean taking hockey pucks, drilling a hole in them, then resting the body on those???
