can i tuck 20s on tubular control arms and stock spindles or do i need the 2 in drops i have a set of both i heard i had to keep the stock to camber more so they will tuck better and also heard i had to have the drops so it will still lay out im about to buy my spindles in a few weeks and start setting up for 20s

If it was me I would get the spindles. In short you will most likely have trouble laying out on stock spindles but it depends on a few other factors. Not all tubular control arms are the same, some are built with a drop in mind for example the DJM control arms we sell include a 3" inch drop. Not all 20s will work either. You need to measure the offset or backspacing to make sure they will clear your fenders.

ok havent really seen a rim im wanting yet also thought about doing a 5 lug conversion but really dont want to redo the 4 link in the rear any advantages to either also i slightly have a tbd in mind in the future

Who's tubular control arms do you have? Are you running 2wd or 4x4 sheet metal? How wide of a tire are you looking to run?

I'm tucking 20x8.5 with 4x4 sheet metal, modified stock control arms and stock spindles.

im looking at unusualfabrication control arms anybody used them or should i find something different and im useing 2wd sheetmetal i really dont like the 4wd much

i wouls ask unusual if their control arms are for the drop spindles. most of the time aftermarket control arms are made to be used with only the drop spindles and not stocks. and the drop spindle pushes the wheel out 1/2 in from where the stock spindle was. making it alot harder to find 6 lug rims that have the right offset. you would probably need a +42mm or so to fit them in 2wd fenders :/ AND if you body drop it. you might need an even higher offset. i have +31mm and after my 2.75 body drop they dont fit. but all builds re different. but i thought id give you my experience

Hunter, Unusual makes his arms to tuck wheels with drop spindles. Chris does good work. I used his cross shafts on my upper arms. He made the arms for this Mazda, tucking 20s with drop spindles.

You can use either spindle. The drop spindle will have less camber when laid out. Since you have the drop spindles I would use them. Just let Chris at Unusual know which spindles you use so he can build the arms accordingly.

ok i really would like a good bit of camber when laid out just like the look always have i dont plan on driving the truck much after the rebuild

If you want the camber when layed out then go ahead and do it with stock spindles. It's definitely possible. My truck would be able to if I set the tubs up high enough. lol
