I agree with you all that the new flood of MT members is gonna make a jumbo b site for everybody to enjoy regardless of what they are doing with there trucks.

As I just got my 1989 B2200 in the last two weeks, I started looking around for info on these trucks. I found links to mazdatruckin.com but at the time, the site was down and some random placeholder page was up. So, being that this was the only relevant site, I joined! When I had my 1986 B2000 (back in the 1990s), the Internet was just born, and wasn't much out there.

But I have to admit, once I started browsing this forum, I quickly discovered that most people were into lowering their trucks. I even PM'd someone and he assumed I wanted to have a bagged and slammed truck. Actually I want just the opposite - the PreRunner look. Maybe a small 2" lift with big meaty tires. Otherwise it will be fairly close to stock (for now). Might be a daily driver, or at least 50% to 75% of the time, so definitely no show truck, but also not a beater.

Just a suggestion, maybe make a new header with a slammed and bagged truck and have another pic with a lifted 4x4. And maybe redo some of the categories. It may take a while to catch on and get populated with posts, but it's a good idea. Maybe check out how some of the other forums for cars and trucks of different makes or models are set up. This forum is fine, but I like the category layouts on some of the other forums I've seen.

In any case, thank you for making this forum available! I've learned a lot about my truck already!

Greatest thing about us is that no matter what.. all you gotta do is ask..want some cool pre-runner ideas? Just drop a line.. we basically built one but its just a chill driver so I never posted it..lol.. its gonna take alittle time for the mazdatruckin guys to see how the site works but once they do they'll like it... I saw my buddy navigate a vw site before and there is breakdown for every nut and bolt and it took forever to actually find an answer.. here is simple... "hey guys! " is enough to answer any question just my 2 cents.. baha kicks ass keeping us all happy.. don't wanna work him to death!

Cool! I'd love to see some pics and read some info on any 86-93 Mazda PreRunner! I'll see if there's anything on this forum, but so far I didn't find much. Not many people seem to be into that look with a B2000 or B2200. I found a few random ones online (not on this site). Would love to see more though!

Cool cool I'll start a thread for it tomorrow.. its just a chill driver but its a 4x4 B2600i body on a b2200 chassis with a B2600i 2wd driveline stuffed in it.. looks so stock its scary .. its also got a 3" body lift

Awesome! That sounds like my kind of truck! I won't be going as in-depth as you did though. I'm sticking with the stock chassis and B2200 2wd body, just going to do a mild lift with what I've got. I just got a nice bubble hood, but I need to paint it to match the truck (and I'll paint the cap/canopy at the same time). Eventually I would like to do an engine swap for a turbo diesel, but that will have to wait until I save up a bit of money. For now, the stock 2200 carbed engine will have to do.

I got some nice 235/75R15 tires and 15" Nissan wheels for it too, but need to do the lift before those will fit. Like yours, mine will probably look stock to the casual observer, maybe like a stock 4wd truck. But that's the kind of mods I like - something so subtle you have to do a double take and wonder if it's stock or modified. Anyways, looking forward to your thread on your PreRunner!

Well I can say that I agree with you BaHa.

I am a member on both sites, and posted my build up of my truck which is more of a road course, pro-touring ride.

On the Mazda Trucking site I had about double the pages, and replies on the same build that I posted on here.

Now I'm not saying this because I'm an attention whore, etc, but its just that it was something very noticeable in the differences between the sites, and my post.

It seemed that most member builds that generate the most attention on this site, have something to do with air bags, and dragging.

I don't know why one site seemed to go one way, and this one another, but it did.

That was why I spent more time, and made more posts on MT than here. Everyone here has been great, and its a good site.

Another thing about the site vs MT is that this site has way too many sub categories, which looks like it would be a good thing, but as Silent dawn said earlier it makes hard to figure where to post stuff.

Also, it tends to split up the members as there are some forums here that I have never even opened.

Thanks for posting this.

I never got the notion it was just bagged type of trucks. It was a Mazda b specific site and I love all Mazdas lol. I'd love a 4x4 if I can find one. I would agree that comparing the 2 sites that mt is more tech and trouble shoot. And MBA is more fab and mod heavy. I hope all the mt guys stay and it all blends together

I agree, when I bought my truck and looked around at Mazda sites.. I trolled them all.. I registered here because it was more in line with my interests, and I used MT as a knowledge base. BUT I never got the impression that it was just bags and drags.. just that there are a lot more of those on here.. I like trucks/cars... big/small / short / tall.. I like them ALL... sorry I have Dr Seuss on the brain.. lol..

I read the build threads here at least every few days, usually every day. Doesn't have to be bagged or lowered, a lifted build would be very cool... definitely unique.. I have found almost everyone here is willing to lend their knowledge and even shown generosity with parts! Not sure how to change/alter any perceptions.. I think it is a great site.
