Supervisor for a city drinking water treatment plant. Laid back job, good money, and 2 minutes from the house. I have 8 employees and a 15 million gallon a day plant to watch. (We only do 4MGD now).
On the side I'm a volunteer youth worker, Sunday school teacher, and run the A/V tech stuff for my church.
Working part time in a do it all company. We install Solar Systems, Telecom Systems, Data Equipment upgrades, and Electrical System upgrades.
I retired from the Telecomm. business after 29 years of service. I was there from the good old days of pole climbing, mechanical switches, and dial up modems. Then Digital Switching and Internet Broad Band capacity. Copper cables and fiber optics to customer premises.
Transport petroleum products. Makes it sound fancy that way. I'm a truck driver and I jacknife trucks into tiny little gas stations in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.
State Certified Building Contractor since 1985, I draw house plans in the evenings also........work is finally starting to pick up again.......but who knows if it will stay that way.
Drive a tractor trailer for a local grocery company serving,nc,sc,va,ga,md,dc,and delaware and a few other spots.Daycab out and back most days.I have been trkg for ten yrs.Great company based here in nc and drive about 2k every 4 days.
Estimator & Project Manager for one of the largest environmental contractors in the area. Basically the field I work in is responsible for safely removing asbestos, lead based paint and mold. Interesting line of work that keeps me busy 55-60 hours per week. Not exactly what I wanted to do for a living but it pays the bills.
