My wife and I have been on the car-go-round since we were forced to declare bankruptcy when the economy fell out, and we had the unexpected expenses of bringing a youngster into the world. We finally got a decent car and kept it for a few years, my 1993 Buick Roadmaster. For a second car, it was back to the car-go-round. 1993 Dodge d250 (horrible on gas), 1991 Olds Ciera with super low miles but never ran right (and beat to hell), 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo that spun a bearing or something, 1995 Century that I intercepted right before it was towed to the yard. Drove it for about a year, cost $350. The Century had 320,000 on her when my friend called and said he'd sell me something better for cheap, to finance his 2006 GMC 1500. I had to choose between his 1994 Sentra coupe or his 1988 B2200. The Sentra was in better shape but the clutch was weak. I decided I'd buy the Mazda and fix the body as I could. Well, that was 3 weeks ago and most of the body is as fixed as it's getting. Maybe pull a couple dings out later.
I'd had a couple of older Corollas and my friend Mike I grew up with had a couple Accords and a 626, so I have always liked Japanese cars and trucks very well. I didn't know I'd own a b2200, but I'm glad I do.
