I haven't forgotten about this, been busy with a lot around the farm. I sent Kyle at Guity by Design an email inquiring on some adapters. The Mercedes ball joint is far too large to go into the hole of the Mazda ball joint, and I'm also not too comfortable with how strong that would have been anyways.

Beautiful thing about this, if I get this all sorted out, multiple Mercedes Sedans also have the larger brakes and they all have 5 lug patterns. They also have similar ball joint profiles so these adapters would work for many applications

I was talking to some diesel and benz gurus, and someone mentioned that a 107 chassis might use spindles with close enough dimensions to the B series spindles. I am going to check out one of these (hopefully) tomorrow to see if the size is close enough for me to be able to work with it.

The reason I say hopefully, is because pull-a-part doesn't ID their Mercedes collection by chassis code, but by model class. A 107 chassis is the sports/coupe model, and the 123/126 chassis is a sedan. Unfortunately there was a 280 sedan and a 280 coupe the same year, and PaP just says they have a 280 class.
