That's the PTC heater plate. I believe it's to help keep the carb warm so the boosters don't ice up in extreme cold conditions. I don't know the exact purpose of it since I live in the South and usually remove it

I have a 1988 b2200,so i want to buy a weber carb but where is a safe reliable co. to order from. Alot of feedback I have read the places they order from were not Genuine Weber carbs at all, They had missing parts along with damaged parts. This is stock motor so anyone know which carb is best for my Mazda B2200

Yes buy a REAL weber from Redline. Don't do what I did and buy it from ebay.(webercarbsdirect). Had gone though 3 of them. Then told them to give me a refund and got a real one from Redline. WCD is a refurb company that takes rejects from Redline and "fixes" them. Haven't had any issues with a this one.

If you get a new one it comes with everything included.

So do I just type in Redline weber to access to the site

That depends upon whether you bought just a carb or a complete upgrade kit. Most of us here have the Redline Weber K675 kit, I do, about 8 or 9 years now.
