I heard the domain name expired and someone else snatched it up. People do that. Speculators jump on domain names, often using paid services to automate it, registering domain names within seconds or minutes of when they expire. They do this in hopes that someone (either the original owner, a competitor or just some random person who likes the domain name) will buy it. Of course, they sell it for a profit. Usually a hefty profit, like a few hundred dollars at least, sometimes even thousands of dollars. If the previous owner wants it back, he/she either needs to pay their ransom or go register another, different domain name.
I never got to try out mazdatruckin.com as that website was not around when I had my 1986 B2000 in the 1990s. And I just recently (in the last 10 days) decided to buy my 1989 B2200. But it will be nice to have both sites up. Sometimes one site has a stronger focus on something, or just has more active members. And sometimes not. I also have a Chevy Astro, and there are two competing forums for those vans. Some people are members of both, posting on more than the other. While others are fiercely loyal to one and boycot the other. With some members, it's almost taboo to even mention the other website.
