Careful, we're a bunch of crazy bastards over at MT... I change vehicles more than anyone.... period... I tend to stick with Japanese these days...

I sincerely hope that someone else snatching the domain name is not the case. It would be aweful if thats what happened...

From a casual observer who has had the privilege (curse?) of running a few websites, it seems to me a couple things:

1. If the website is just down because of a stolen dns, and not destroyed server or something similar, it's easy to fix.

2. It would probably take less than an hour to register a similar website name, like mazdatruckin.net, which is unowned, and change the opening homepage to that URL.

3. Given #1 & 2, my guess is K6 lost interest/got tired of running the site.

That happens sometimes, I've had to run a few and keep up with updates, etc, so I can understand getting sick of running it. Unfortunately, MT was a community full of all kinds of good, useful information, relationships, etc, and to have it just gone really screws things up for continuity sake. Nothing against BScene, as it seems to be a good website and community too, it's just more like our country got invaded and we were all expelled without being able to take any of our possessions with us. It's disconcerting. I could find all kinds of info from Earl, follow Danwoodland's project, etc, and all that is lost.

I'm not sure what the original domain name was, but

I was once a member of another automotive website for a car I used to have around 2001 to 2003. The founder of the website was very active in the website and forum, putting A LOT of effort into, but then he got a different car and became less and less involved. Fortunately, he either gave or sold the website to some of the other moderators who have kept the website going to this day.
