So, I was wondering how many of us are or were into R/C cars?

I have a pretty big collection of old and new R/C's dating back to the late 80's

RC10's and HPI RS4 electric.

I have a bunch of new stuff too, ERevo, Slash 4x4, Stampede 4x4.

I have an older Team Associated RC10 buggy. Don't use it a whole lot anymore. Also have some older late 80's and early 90's Radio Shacks 4wd trucks. Only few have controllers but they look cool and have 4wd with diffs. There not the cheap ones probably a hundred bucks or so back in the day. I get them for like $5 at consignment stores. I can show some pics if anyone is interested in seeing them. I am not selling of course.

i was stupid into it until awhile ago, got tired of the 40 going on 13yr olds lol. Anyways i was one of the developers at underground crawlers, and built custom rc drifters for the locals. Automated bodies, drivetrain conversions, detailed engine bays and interiors etc. Sometimes i miss it.....but i remember the fact that my rc addiction was costing more then my bicycle and truck habit (im an admitted cycloholic..ive been racing bicycles since i was 9yrs old)...I can post up some pics of the drifters and some crawler stuff if you want.

One of the guys at work races professionally i guess. Hes a fucking retard. 32' enclosed trailer to travel in and race rc cars out of is ridiculous imo. But hey, u gotta have a hobby.

This is the single most annoying thing about the hobby.

I guess it just comes with the territory so I pretty much just tinker with them and that's about it, when I got back into it a few years back, I quickly saw this same behavior at the tracks and said "OK, I'll just stay home"

Please post pics up guys!

I'll try to post some too.

Here's a thread on RC10talk.com of a build I'm doing right now:

So you think the manufacturing tolerances have improved huh - I kinda wondered that.

The transmission is way easier to build then it used to be, the rest of the car is about the same.

I have an Associated SC10 with a brused motor, my dad has a Losi SCT with the brushed motor that we got with plans on racing, but have not done yet. I also have an HSP 4X4 brushless buggy, and a LOSI Micro Rally for indoors.

I've been in and out of rc for 25 years. Cars in electric and nitro, planes, helicopters, and boats. Currently down to an HPI E10 drift car. A parkzone Radian powered glider. And a Helimax 1sq quad copter. And my son has a 2wd Traxxas stampede. I've owned a lot over the years. I use to race a Losi XXX NT when I lived in Phoenix at Scottsdale Raceway.
