Thanks everyone for the comments, it took about 3 weekends to build the bed, and 4 different sheetmetal shears. Every shear that i bought kept breaking. The shears were rated for 14 gauge, but kept breaking on 16 gauge. Seems like every other cut i had to take one back.

It came out sweet. Great work. I hear you on the shears. I used to use them at work and the Wyss ones used to last forever. Now they wear out super fast.

what kind of shear are you using? harbor freight special?
at work we have a beverly shear... we use the crap out of it and it's still kickin ass. needs some adjustment and oil now and again...
