if u got stock lense u gotta paint the outside i gave it like 4-5 coats of paint on mine but if u got clear lense i'll say paint the inside that'll give ya a nice finiching look on the outside

I don't know why you would paint your reverse lights red. That completely defeats the purpose of night time visibility when backing up.

Plus, when you're backing up in a parking lot, and your reverse lights shine red, to other people it'll look like your brakes are on.

so dont paint the inside? what would happen if i did? if you paint the reverse lights it just looks cleaner but yeah it does defeat the purpose of having them.

if u paint the inside u'd waste paint cause ur lense would still be stock look on the outside, the stock lenses are some sort of red and amber plastic if u paint the inside it still be red and amber on the outside

It's a candy paint, so the colour is transparent, which is why it lets the light through when you paint your lenses. You can paint solid stuff, like engine parts, interior trim etc with it if you use the Ground coat, which is like a metallic grey. Spray the ground coat, and then spray the colour over top and it gives you a nice deep candy.

I painted my radio bezel with it. Check out that deep shine.

This is the grey ground coat.
